Hey there, Macs and Janes,

A quick heads up. I see that many people have purchased their physical book. But quite a few haven’t. I’ve got some news on that front that might prompt you to jump in sooner rather than later. 

DriveThruRPG’s Print on Demand partner is changing their print rates at the beginning of April. B/W books and premium color books will get slightly cheaper to print. Standard color books will become slightly more expensive. 

CAPERS is standard color. If you wait until April to buy your at-cost book, it’s going to cost you about $2 more to get it printed. So there you go. 

Patreon

On a side note, I’ve created a Patreon. Reward tiers are $2, $5, and $10. Even the lowest tier gets some regular game stuff along with videos and insider tidbits. Higher tiers get access to special events and some other cool stuff.

As CAPERS is my “flagship game,” I expect the quarterly PDF I do will be heavy on CAPERS stuff. There’s a lot of LITTLE stuff I come up with for CAPERS that just doesn’t fit the theme of one of my planned 50-60 page supplement books. This Patreon will be an ideal way to get people some cool stuff, like alternate mini-settings, expanded rules options, and the like.

You should have received download links for PDFs of the paper minis and poster maps as well as discount links to buy physical copies at-cost if you so choose. Make sure to check your spam folder, just in case. 

And that wraps up the CAPERS Kickstarter. All rewards have been delivered. Thank you so much for making this Kickstarter a success. We hope you enjoy all the gangster goodness.

I’ve established a Twitch channel for NerdBurger. It’s right HERE. Though, that name will change to NerdBurgerGames soon. 

I’ll be running a weekly CAPERS campaign there soon. And I’m sure I’ll run some other games and playtests, maybe host some other folks playing NerdBurger stuff. We’ll see what happens.

NerdBurger Games is an indie RPG studio. Basically, just me and some freelancers with no marketing budget to speak of. If you write reviews, we’d appreciate you say a few nice things about the game. Pop on over to DriveThruRPG and give us a rating. Point bloggers/reviewers/podcasters you know to the game. Anything you can go to help spread the word is appreciated. 

CAPERS Supplements

You can expect a Kickstarter for CAPERS Noir in March (date is tentative). It’ll be a 52-page PDF/softcover offering. I plan to have a great deal of the artwork/graphics done before the Kickstarter begins, so fulfillment should be pretty quick.

If CAPERS Noir does well, I’ll move forward on two more supplements for the game. Hopefully the second one will make it to Kickstarter before the end of the year.

Maps and Minis Proofing

Maps and paper minis proof copies have been ordered. Owen and I should have them within a couple weeks. If they look good as is, I’ll send links to all of you right then. If they need a round of tweaking, it’ll be another couple weeks.  

But…they are very close.

We’re wrapping up the drawing work on the maps and minis. We should be getting physical proof copies made very soon.
